Introducing the New 120ml VAP 1/a with Automatic Heater Cut Out

The new Foramaflow VAP 1/a Formalin (A 37% aqueous (water) solution of formaldehyde, a pungent gas, with the chemical formula HCHO, used as an antiseptic, disinfectant, and especially today as a fixative for histology - the study of tissues under the microscope) Vaporiser is available in 220/240V and 110V 50/60Hz electrical supply voltage with an increased maximum agent volume of 120ml.

The VAP 1/a features an automatic cut off device which switches off the heating element as soon as all of the Formalin solution has boiled off, making the VAP 1/a safer, especially in overnight operations. The working surface temperature of the vaporiser has also been greatly reduced giving improved operator safety.

The vaporiser has standard face drillings to suit most existing classes of microbiological safety cabinet's and has the benefit of a side entry power cable and rubber base making it suitable for free standing (Safety Cabinet Solutions Ltd's recommended siting) applications.

All major parts including the body are manufactured in stainless steel, over painted externally with a hard wearing powder coated matt white finish.

Model VAP1 is designed for use with the microprocessor controlled microbiological safety cabinet where the cabinet had a pre programmed fumigation cycle to control the switching off of the vaporiser	Model VAP1.a is the standard start switch model and incorporates an IP65 momentary start switch to commence the fumigation cycles. Suitable internal or external face fixing.	Model VAP1/aT incorporates an on-delay timer allowing the user to program a delay into the vaporiser and hence operate at the required time
Model VAP2/T available in both 110 and 220v variants. The al new VAP/2 model has a maximum agent volume of 200ml	The VAP2/aT has a maximum agent volume of 300ml. The VAT/2 range are manufactured in chemical restating stainless steel	The VAP2.bT is the largest vaporiser we offer having a maximum agent volume of 500ml. Available in both 110 and 220v versions this unit is ideally suited to larger volume areas

Formaldehyde fumigation is widely used to decontaminate safety cabinets and rooms. While it is shown to be effective in killing micro-organisms, concerns continue to be raised about its use on health, safety and environmental grounds.

Cycle Times:

All cycle times are indicative only, calculated using maximum agent capacity from the unit being cold. Times vary according to ambient temperature of location. Cut out of the heating cycle is automatic once boiling cycle is complete.
