Recirculating or ductless (special 'typed'
carbon)
filtered fume cupboards (cabinets - enclosures) are not a direct replacement
for a traditional externally ducted externally vented fume cupboard.
All models are designed for the type of procedures that are going to be
carried out in them and are fitted with the appropriate 'typed' carbon
filtration for the substances and procedures they will be subjected.
One needs to carefully consider the substances that will be used in a
ductless recirculating fume cupboard together with the size of
cabinet/enclosure required to allow the procedures to be carried out safely. How long a
life you would like to attain between filter changes and lastly what method
one intends to use to ensure filter efficiency is maintained (routine manual
filter testing or one of our advanced automatic filter detection systems.
